Florida Center For Capoeira
The Florida Center for Capoeira was started by Daniel 'Tubarao' Levi in 2018 at Tampa Bay area. The Florida Center for Capoeira is working hard to promote the art of Capoeira and introduce it by offering capoeira workshops at kids' camps, after-school programs, and performing at festivals, fairs, and fundraisers. The Florida Center for Capoeira is constantly growing and more people are becoming aware and taking part in our Capoeira community.
Our Vision:
At The Florida Center for Capoeira, our vision is to cultivate a vibrant, inclusive Capoeira community that unites people from all walks of life. We aspire to see Capoeira flourish not only as a martial art but as a movement that brings people together, fosters cultural appreciation, and promotes personal growth. We envision Capoeira reaching every corner of the Tampa Bay area and beyond, inspiring a new generation of practitioners and champions who embody resilience, respect, and joy through this dynamic Brazilian art form.
We aim to extend Capoeira’s reach by integrating it into schools, community centers, and cultural events across the U.S., creating a space for all to connect, celebrate diversity, and embrace a healthy, active lifestyle. By fostering an environment of creativity and empowerment, we hope to build a legacy that transforms lives, strengthens communities, and transcends social and cultural barriers.
Our Mission
Our mission at The Florida Center for Capoeira is to bring Capoeira to the community in an accessible, welcoming, and authentic way. Through engaging fun classes, inspiring performances, and enriching workshops, we are dedicated to teaching Capoeira’s traditions and values to children, teens, and adults alike. We seek to promote discipline, confidence, and camaraderie among our students, empowering them to achieve both personal and physical growth.
We are committed to creating an inclusive space where everyone, regardless of age or experience, can explore and celebrate Capoeira’s unique blend of martial arts, dance, and music. By fostering partnerships, participating in local events, and sharing our passion, we aim to build a diverse Capoeira community that reflects Tampa Bay’s multicultural spirit and supports the well-being of all who join us on this journey.
